Well, still plenty to do, but progress has been made.
I’ve abandoned my theme for use here at ill-literati.org. I’ll still work on designing it, and tinkering with it, but for the mu.WordPress install, it’s just not very good.
I’d like the users here to have some sort of say in the way their site looks, while still maintaining a semi-uniform look. So I’ve decided to use K2.
K2 is a brilliant theme for WordPress. It allows the user to make all sorts of changes in the dashboard, is super easy for the admin to come up with new styles. Users can add an image to their header, or not. I’ve modified it to work with TTFTitles (though I may have to make some adjustments and force the user to create 2 styles- 1 for the header and one for the content).
The Coppermine plugin no longer works with WordPress 2.5 and higher (yet). Which may be okay, since they seem to have a lovely interface now for adding media.
I still have a lot to do for this install. Some mu things I’d like to add to the sidebars, I have to figure out how to set it up so that I have the ‘home’ page on the front page of the overall site. I’d like to mash K2 up with ComicPress 2.5 and see what I get.
But it’s mostly done.
